About the
Practical
We like to keep things simple and well organised.
When the booking is confirmed, you book your own flight to Johannesburg, and from there we take care of the rest. Our private transfer leaves O R Tambo International Airport at 11:00, taking you directly to Hippo Creek lodge, where your journey begins.

Hunting at HUGO is part of a regulated and responsible approach to wildlife management. Each animal is selected with care, ensuring balance in the ecosystem and respect for the natural surroundings.
Nothing goes to waste. The meat from the hunt is either used locally or donated to nearby schools and predator parks, supporting the communities and wildlife that are part of the experience.
For many, this becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the journey, gaining a deeper understanding of the role hunting plays and leaving with a different perspective on nature and its balance.
